A separate location page is useful when it gives customers information that is genuinely different for that location. Changing a city name in otherwise identical text does little to help someone choose a business. Start with the customer need, not a target number of pages.

Look for meaningful differences

Distinct locations may have different opening hours, teams, services, access instructions or booking arrangements. Those differences justify a dedicated explanation. A customer should be able to use the page to plan a visit or request the correct service.

For a service-area business, a town may merit its own page if there is substantial, relevant information to share. Examples include real local projects, a specific service limitation or a different scheduling process. Do not manufacture differences to fill a template.

Use one coverage page when that is clearer

If the offer and process are the same everywhere, a well-written service-area section may be enough. It can list genuine coverage and explain how to confirm a location without making visitors navigate many repetitive pages.

This also reduces maintenance. A change to a phone number or service description is less likely to leave inconsistent information across dozens of near-identical pages.

Keep every claim defensible

Do not invent offices, local staff or customer examples. Use authentic photos and permissioned project details where available. Be explicit when a team travels into an area rather than maintaining a physical location there.

Google's spam policies address doorway abuse, including pages created for similar queries that funnel users onward rather than providing useful destinations. See the official spam policies.

Apply a simple editorial test

Remove the location name and compare the draft with your other pages. If almost nothing meaningful changes, consolidate it or improve the substance. A location page should make a customer's decision easier through real information—not merely increase the number of URLs you hope search engines will notice.
